من هو د. آ. كارسون D. A. Carson ؟

دونالد آرثر كارسون D. A. Carson هو لاهوتي إنجيلي مُصْلَح من أصول كندية، ولد في 21 ديسمبر 1946م. يعمل حالياً كأستاذ باحث في العهد الجديد في كلية لاهوت الثالوث الإنجيلية Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) في ديرفيلد، إلينوي Deerfield, Illinois التي التحق للعمل بها كأستاذ منذ عام 1978م. وهو مؤسس "إئتلاف الإنجيل" The Gospel Coalition, TGC

حصل على درجة البكالوريوس في العلوم من جامعة McGill في كندا عام 1967م، وعلى ماجستير اللاهوت M.Div. من كلية لاهوت Central Baptist Seminary في تورنتو، كندا. وأخيراً نال درجة الدكتوراة في العهد الجديد من جامعة كامبريدﭺ University of Cambridge في المملكة المتحدة عام 1975. وفي 16 أغسطس من نفس العام تزوج من Joy Wheildon وأنجب منها ابنان.

له خبرة في العمل الرعوي، فكان قسًا راعيًا لكنيسة ريتشموند المعمدانية Richmond Baptist Church، في British Columbia من عام 1970-1972م. وبعد حصوله على الدكتوراة، أسس كلية لاهوت Northern Baptist Theological College, Vancouver وكان العميد الأكاديمي Academic Dean لها من عام 1976 -1978م.

ألف كارسون وحرر حوالي سبعة وخمسين كتابًا بأكثر من لغة. تُرجمت بعض كتاباته للغة الصينية. حصل أحد كتبه والذي ألفه عام 1995 بعنوان -The Gagging of God: Christianity Confronts Pluralism على جائزة في العام التالي 1996م، وهي جائزة ECPA Christian Book Award for theology and doctrine.
